I think the 'Boots on the ground ' group are probably going to be proven right in the end. The US ground forces are scheduled to be in place by the end of the week, allowing Trump to launch the ground war after the US markets have closed and after his 5 day negotiation deadline.

Then more of the gulfs infrastructure gets hit, the straights remain closed and oil prices go up again
 
Trumpf is negotiating with himself says Teyran. You have to admit the mad mullers are dealing with him with humour and intelligence. And they get to keep the nuclear programme.

Boots on the ground will be a gift to Irann. It’s a stunt waiting to backfire. Trumpf is a complete stunt.
 
Jeeeze, they are saying the US is negotiating with themselves.. This is a total showing up from Trump and he thinks he can put boots on the ground, the man is insane.

Interesting that several reports are claiming the negotiations are via mediators in Pakistan, so far I've not seen any denials by Pakistan.

But, as you say, the Mullahs are playing a blinder.
 
Heard a blurb that the 3,000 troops from the 82nd Airborne would be deployed with a view to using them against any hostile forces on the Iranian shoreline, perhaps forcing them out of missile range on shipping. That might be enough to work in the short term but how long would they be able to hold a bridgehead on the Iranian side of the strait?

Yep. The only, as the ONLY reason he's been pandered to etc is because he's president in such a large and strategically important country. It's also the ONLY reason he's getting away with his bully boy tactics here there everywhere.

Another thing, as the weeks and months roll by, the mental acuity gap between him and Biden is reducing.
