Perhaps the Ginger Toddler will threaten to invade Spain as well. Then downgrade to a trade war. That will annoy EU.

A war takes relentless planning, it is very much like a game of chess, your commanders will go through their goals and objectives and play it out by roleplaying and splitting into red and blue teams one team playing the enemy to plan their strategic moves. If we do this what will the enemy do? If the enemy does this what will we do? It is meticulous planning to see if a war is even pheasable. Then when it comes to action and going into a war they will know or have a good idea of what to do in any scenario. This has not happened within the USA military as they do not even have a plan let alone any planning, the goals change daily with Trump. It started with disarming nuclear weapons or stopping a nuclear program, this then changed to Regime change, it then changed to disabling their military capacity to disabling their missiles. They are steaming in with no direction and this can now only lead to a long drawn out war that will last for years, Starmer is probably taking advice from our military commanders and NATO will be looking on in horror at what is happening. Of course Russia will be taking full advantage of all of this.

Europe is a big competitor to USA so when the USA made the Ukraine war happen which ****ed up Europe's energy supply I was suspicious.

Have been saying something like this for a long time. NATO/US has been provoking Russia for years by going right up to Russia's back door and surrounding them. The Russians have already been convinced to swallow their pride and bend our way a lot by dismantling the Soviet Union. They've now been pushed too far by The West and they probably feel threatened and big loss of dignity. I don't blame Russia entirely for the Ukraine conflict.

Table top tactics also consider what is an acceptable 'body bag' % rate of own forces to achieve the military objective.
Not an easy one to consider by democratic countries in this modern age.

but completely necessary in order to see if the war is pheasable and the objectives outweigh the human cost.

Trump in his military wisdom is escalating this war where as the smart thing to do at this stage would be to de escalate the war. Trump is surrounding himself with people who are simply agreeing with him through fear of losing their jobs as he just sacks anyone who speaks against him, he needs to be surrounding himself with people who dare stand up to him and tell him how it is. Pete Hegseth has lost his mind and is not a great advisor to Trump.
