Saudi and UAE are still vocal about joining in, I hope they do. Netanyahu has suggested to the Crown Prince of Saudi that the only long term solution would be to construct a pipeline away from Hormuz, across Saudi direct to the Med, seems like a good solution.
The UAE have an amazing airforce, I don't think they will have much option other than to get involved. I hope they do.

They have all been aware of the cuts and none has done anything regardless who started the cuts.
This is the side of politics that I get more jaded with the older I get i.e. the 'we could do better than you' and 'here are the mistakes you're making' rhetoric from opposition parties when, 9/10, whoever is saying it didn't do better when they were in power or may even have instigated the issue. Or indeed we hear the same sort of rhetoric from parties that have never held power or last did decades upon decades ago.

Yes it's part of day to day politics, doesn't mean it can't become tiresome.

I do not doubt for one sec that if Reform or the Greens were to gain power, they would not be one iota better. Actually, part of me would like to see Farage or Polanski gain power to see what sort of bullsh1t excuses they'd start coming up with at PMQs etc.

Round and round it goes.

Luckily we have a Nuclear deterrent, no-ones attacking the UK anytime soon.

Wise up(TM)
The nuclear deterrent is the biggest waste on money in the budget. Dropping that would let us buy new tanks more than once every 40 years. Or more surfacr ships instead of boats whose entire purpose is to be invisible and do nothing.

But they make people think twice I assume?

Without that we would be easy (ish) pickings.

No, you're 100% right. We should do what the wokey tree hugging lefties want and give our nuclear deterrent up. With the £££ we save, we can buy lots of tea, coffee, biscuits and cake. Why? Cause according to those t w a t s all we'll need to do if under threat in the future is sit down with the nice aggressors and have a discussion about how to resolve matters peacefully.

Yep, we should give one of the few deterrents we have up.

Definitely.

Without a doubt.

No question.

The year is 2050.

Russia, China and North Korea have joined forces and are bearing down on the UK.

Oh hello there, fancy seeing you here. Come away in, we'll put the kettle on. And we have some very tasty biscuits and cake for you as well. Now, what's all this about ...

I dont like the sound of that

So you're calling yourself the Kill the West Alliance? Catchy name. We're sure we can sort all this out over a nice cuppa. We have no actual defences against you attacking us, however we're sure it's nothing tea and cake can't sort :)

Ships I feel are a waste of money too, we could replace them with canoes to save even more money. Or peddle boats for exra range. We could disguise them as swans and use them all at sea side resorts, then when anyone trys to attack us, we would have a huge fleet of them at the ready, no messing about with out of action old ships, just a well maintained fleet of peddle boats.
