TRV Heads Interchangeable?

I have some cheap TRVs fitted a couple of which have become damaged.

I have some spare Danfoss RAS-C TRVs and was wondering whether I could simply swap over the heads off my existing TRVs with the heads off these, to avoid having to drain down the system?

Danfoss are not interchangeable with most other brands, whereas most other brands are interchangeable.

Is the deciding factor the thread, or is there more to it?

As far as I can tell so long as the TRV pushes the pin in when required, so long s the head will screw on, it should work?
