Hi Guys,

I have a movement sensor in the corner of the room I am decorating and want to remove it so I can remove the wall paper behind it and paint.

What do I need to do?

I don't want to unscrew it and the alarm screaming at me.

thanks

Would help if you have the engineer code, this will allow you to open the sensor without generating a tamper alarm.

Remove the sensor cover, your system will go into tamper at this stage, this can be silenced with the user code, (best to just remove the sensor first then silence) make note of the core colours and where they go.

Be carefull not to short the power to the sensor when removing!!!

You may run into bother if you dont have the engineer code and the systems been setup for engineer reset on tamper.

Tamper on this should be user reset, press "0" the your code and enter.
If that does not work then you will need an engineer.
Quirky panel, some may not understand it, so be sure to tell the visiting company what it is.

It is a low end panel but solid and can last for years.
Also it woul,d be time to fit a new battery.
It will also only take a 2.6/3.2 Am Hour battery. 12VDC of course.

Hope this helps.
Ask away for any other info.

And as above, don`t short the power pair!!
