tumble dryer problem

Hi,

I’m having an issue with my heat pump tumble dryer and was hoping someone could advise.

There is a noticeable noise when the drum starts and when rotating (

). The drum also seems to speed up and slow down irregularly, almost as if it’s struggling to maintain a constant rotation. dryer is 3 years old

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what might be causing this?

yes it does but with that grinding sound

Just a guess but sounds like a drum bearings or motor problem

Probably bearings worn .

They don't make them like they used to.

I thought the bearings had gone on my (much older) tumble dryer because of the grinding sound. It turned out to be a build up of limescale scale on the drum
