Would anyone know how to go in and turn off the 'Maintenance Reminder' that flashes on the screen continually when car turned on. It was serviced privately and the guy did not know how to do this. The manual has no info either and Glyn Hopkin Nissan garage refuse to do it!

What year etc is your car?
Its the new model/shape from 2003.
I am thinking it would just be better to turn the reminder/warning off completely if possible.
Or I shall have same issue next year. I can remember when a service is due.

Cant find any info for it on autodata, so it may well be a main dealer job

Hello

This is for the new shape Micra. It's a bit complicated so it's worth printing it off. But no diagnostic equipment is needed.

You should have 3 buttons above the radio either side of the centre display.
Let's call the one on the left of the display 'A'
The one on the right of the display at the bottom 'B'
The one on the right at the top ( above 'B') 'C'

Still with me? It may be useful to get a mate to read the instructions to you whilst you press the buttons.

Switch ignition on.
Press and release 'A'
Press and release 'B' ( to select 'Maintenance')
Press and release 'C'
Press and release 'B' (to select 'Service')
Press and hold 'C' for 20 secs
'SET DISTANCE TO SERVICE' will appear
Press and release 'B' (to select next service)
Press and release 'C'
'DUE IN XXXX MILES' will appear
Press and release 'A' (to return to main menu)
Switch ignition off.

Hope this helps

This is brilliant and in fact, I even found an option to 'Disable' the thing!

Thanks to all.

Wouldn't work for my model :(

I have Micra model 2007, no display above radio, smart key (no need to put a "usual" key to start engine).

So, I can't reset the service milage ... can you advise some thing?

Thanks :)
