When you turn off the internal stop tap to shut off the water when going away, do you leave a tap open after draining out the water from pipes or turn off tap?
Thanks. I was just asking as I was worried about air getting in the system, I don't know how that happens as I'm obviously not a plumber. Do you just leave one downstairs tap open or all taps? Do you then turn off the tap/s before turning water back on or leave them open when turning water back on? Thanks
I just leave one downstairs tap on and then turn it off before you turn the mains on, then just go around to all the taps and turn them on (there will be a bit of spluttering but will work its way out after a few seconds).
