A friend of mine has a TVR Chimera which she is loathe to drive because, as she describes it "the immobiliser cuts in whenever the engine is stopped."

She believes that there are 8 seconds allowed between opening the doors (with the remote fob) and turning the ignition on or it won't start.

She believes that if the ignition is turned off, eg at a petrol station, the car will not re-start.

She claims to see more of the AA man than her boyfriend !!

Can anyone shed light on the possible problem(s) ?
Any clarification needed on the points raised so far ?

TIA Vic's buddy

can you find out the make/model of alarm/immob?
what year is the TVR?
It wouldn't be a Cobra alarm by any chance
They're a bit tempremental, suits the TVR really :)
