Hello

I'm replacing and repiping 3 radiators fed by blocked 8mm microbore. It would be useful if I could temporarily isolate them without draining down my (sealed) central system. Can I crush the feed/return pipes closed with pliers / mole grips, then cut and close with a compression fitting downstream without too much leakage? I've heard of this as an old skool method for microbore but don't know how true it is. I would do a proper job a couple of weeks later when I put in a new manifold and repipe.

That leads me to my second question... I'm replacing with 15mm plastic. Can I "draw" the pipes through a ceiling void above an RSJ by attaching them to the old microbore and pulling? Has anyone had any success doing this?

Thanks
