Two port valve actuator swap.

Is there anyway of knowing if you can just do an actuator/head swap on a two port valve. Or even just the motor. Thanks.

Yes, a lot of modern ones have removable power heads/actuators, and vast majority I believe you can replace the motor in them.

Thanks, how do I know if the actuator or motor is the problem. As opposed to having to do a full valve swap?

Testing usually. An explanation of what’s happening/not happening might give us an indication.

Thanks I haven't seen the job yet. Is there any things should be looking out for. Guess the hole valve swap would only be needed if the valve was sticking?

Generally yes, unless it’s leaking through the spindle might be another reason.
