Two Tiers in Scotland (allegedly)

I left and came back. I was nwgs for 10 years. The forum gets to you after a while. I see it totally differently now.

Nothing to hide…. I didn’t make people guess who I was etc.

I hate people who do that!

Did you not say - eventually - that you used to be Jonathan M, left the forum then came back under a new guise and simply assumed everyone would be able to tell who you are?

My response above was a joke poking fun at myself :LOL::LOL:

Yes, at one time, I ended up running two accounts on DIYnot. One for GD and one for my personal DIY posts. Because, at the time, I wanted to keep my personal DIY posts separate from my GD posts. Then I took a break from DIYnot. When I came back, I realised that having two accounts was silly. So, I decided to just have one account for both DIY and GD. Initially, I only came back to discuss a new boiler. So, I started using my personal DIY account again i.e. this one. I had no intention of posting on GD. But then I got a bit obsessed by Trump's new term and couldn't stop myself.

It would have felt too ostentatious to make an announcement that I was returning with a different forum name. Also, I was only expecting to make a handful of posts on GD before retiring again. But as just stated, the first couple of months of Trump 2.0 were so fascinating that I kept posting. And then Pete and Highway Man joined and I enjoyed the new dynamic more. I was actually glad when blup said he recognised me.

On Tommy Robinson not using his real name... a large proportion of people in the public eye don't use their real names
A lot of entertainers change their names for professional reasons.
I suppose Tommy could be classified as an entertainer of sorts.

On Tommy Robinson not using his real name... a large proportion of people in the public eye don't use their real names, and an even larger proportion of people on this forum don't use their real names. Why single out Tommy?

(Answer: because the Guardian did it and all the lefty sheep copied, sniggering cleverly like channel 4 quiz show panellists).
Ha Ha Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

(wait until I draw breath)

HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

if you say so.

Self deprecation is a common comedic device.

Everyone knows I was JonathanM. So, when I say I hate people who come back with a different name, that is being self deprecating. Hence, the joke.

Not sure what odds has said to you, but it will be low and childish.
