Hi Guys,
Could anyone give me a little help, just sorting my kitchen wall out and I have a two way switch but I’m struggling to remember where these wires go… I did take a pic but unfortunately I had a disaster with my phone so can’t use it.
I know one is live then I have two others ( one with a small sleeve on).

I was guessing the double sleeved was the common however I really don’t want to get it wrong and guess lol.
Thanks
Jake

If the brown and blue are the live and switched live put those in L1 and L2, then check the other switch and put the brown black and grey in exactly the same terminals as the other switch.

Hi Pete apologies the brown and blue are for another light , the brown black and grey go to another switch the other side of the kitchen
Regards
Jake

Yes I see that now sorry, check the other switch

Or have a guess and rotate until it works as it should

I would usually go

Com, brown
L1 black
L2 grey

Guesses and Assumptions might often be correct but to rely on them to make absolutely sure.
So your caution over following that guess is absolutely spot on and well done to you for it (y).

Also, it is one thing to think what a rational person might have done but it is completely different thing to think what some real actual people might have done.
Unfortunately fo us all, some people are irrationally idiotic and even some normal people can make a mistake sometimes - The Bloke that never made a mistake never made owt!
