Hi, I am converting our garage and want to know what type of floor would be best. Should I lay a concrete floor or a sub floor made up of timber battens and ply. The floor is only been down ten years and is built to building regs with a DPM and is also insulated.
The converted garage is going to be a kitchen diner. The floor in the garage is 100mm lower than the floor in the existing part of the house and I need to bring this up to the same level. There will be tiles or engineered wood flooring put down over the whole are (existing house floor and the new floor)
What will be the best way to go forward. I am not looking for the cheapest option but the best quality in the sense I don't want any movement at all when walking on the new floor.
Thanks in advance
