Hi
Can somebody please help and tell me what type of system i have from my pics .
I thought it was an unvented system but im getting confused as im sure there is a small tank and ballcock in the loft above it .
I have bought dual channel hive and need to know what mode it should be in , Gravity etc .

Thanks

Unvented hot water and open vent heating system from your description

The Hive needs to be set up for a fully pumped system

Looks like Y Plan to me, could be W Plan but unlikely, the gravity setting on Hive is when there are no motorised valves, even when using thermo-syphon it is only set to gravity when no motorised valves.

Do you come across many unvented cylinders on Y plans?

Got it working .
Thanks for the help.
The mid position valve head was faulty , sticking and very stiff .
I've ordered a new one , I stripped the old one and a spring had come off .it's working fine now .
The Hive was very easy to set up and all seems fine ..
Thanks again .
