Hi, just looking through some underfloor heating manuals

Self levelling screed, that's flowing screed right? Does that mean that sand and cement screed is also known as 'levelling' screed? I've never heard it called that before... is that right? Self levelling = flowing, levelling screed = s&c?

Self levelling are gypsum based screeds with anhydrite or alpha-hemihydrate compositions.

Sand and cement doesn't make a flow screed.
Made liquified it will finish crumbly, brittle and weak.
There's certain procedures to follow after laying a gypsum based flow screed.
For UFH its the ideal screed.

We do both the UFH & liquid screed & are based in Doncaster.
The liquid screed @ 50mm is by far the best floor to put down - better response and much harder than a sand / cement screed.
