Hello,

I've just had a single loop of underfloor heating put into my property. I have a Worcester Bosch 8000 system boiler with a hot water cylinder. 2 zones for the radiators and a new zone for the UFH. Thermostats are Hive.

The UFH manifold is a ESBE SL Pump control https://esscogroup.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/UFH-Pump-Pack-SL-Stuart-Turner-Instructions.pdf

The pump is a Stuart Turner 25-60/130.

I've got a few questions about its operation...

Firstly, am I right in saying it should be connected to the wiring centre with a switch live, and there should be no permanent live to the pump? (i.e you can only press buttons on the pump when heat is being demanded?)

Secondly, what mode should I have the pump set to? I initially had it on AUTO which started at 38 Watts but then settled to around 13 Watts once it had run for a while. The problem I noticed was that when the pump reactivated in the morning, it turned on in AUTO mode but was only showing 4 watts and didn't seem to be doing much.

Thirdly, I'm a bit confused about the night reduction mode. You can select this mode when the pump is on, but once it turns off, this mode is forgotten. So when the pump reactivates the night mode is no longer selected. Surely you can't have to select this mode every day when pump comes on?

Essentially, has anyone installed one of these pumps before, and have experience with their operation.

Called the Stuart Turner help line but they were no help. Just read the manual out loud to me.

Thanks in advance.

It should have permanent live. That way itll turn on and off on its own. It'll also save settings you set. As what settings it should be on is really down to how you want it to work for you. An ai chat can help you go through settings and set it as you want it. For a simple step by step and someone that knows everything
