Hi,

The house we've just moved into has rather ugly pushfits connected to the central heating... all difference sizes too.

Can these be replaced and where from? I can see the TRV ones have washers in them to fit and read on here the B & Q sell them.

Just a bit confused what to buy.

PS. its because I am replacing the bathroom radiator and want new valves on.

Appreciate any guidance.

That’s awful!
If there are elbows coming out the wall behind the rads then you can replace the tails to the valves with copper tube and fittings but it’s a fair bit of work and sounds like you’re gonna need a selection of fittings! If the plastic pipe snakes out of the wall without any fittings then you can introduce straight couplers and then come off those in copper!

Hope this helps.

Is all the house done in plastic or just the odd bit? If its the latter chances are just under the floor it will be copper better to remove and start again with your pipe of your choice. Most plastic fittings are interchangable but people have had problems with the inserts matching up.
