Yes, if no more than 3kw. Always check the manufacturer's instructions as well.
 
Thanks, the Hyco ones say they should be connected to a double pole fixed fused spur. 13 amps. The appliance is 2kw
 
The one I looked at said it "should" be connected to an FCU, not "must". I would use a plug if I needed to.
 
Thanks I've done the Hyco ones before and I'm sure they used to recommend connecting to the 1/2male threads on top of the unit with flexis? Just downloaded some instructions no mention of flexis. I think I'd prefer to use 1/2 females to 15mm compressions
