Going to paint the skirts and doors with Vinyl Soft Sheen white, do I need undercoat or just key the original gloss?

Thanks.

It's not suitable for that. It's only for walls.

As Joe says, the vinyl soft sheen is not for skirting boards and doors. You can put it on the skirting, but it won’t last very long and you’ll get a pour finish.

If you want something that sits between gloss and matt then maybe you could consider eggshell, which is the right thing for that application.
