My property is a Bungalow with a concrete Bathroom Floor. A few weeks ago I noticed water around the Toilet Bowl (on the floor). This pooling has now spread. All water pressure to the Bath and Sink Taps are ok, no drop. Regarding the Toilet, it fills up quickly but if I flush it with the Cistern lid off ( push button valve type) the flush is more powerful than with the lid on. I do not think this is anything to do with the water under the floor. Bath and Sink waste pipes are also secure. Could this leak be from the main sewer pipe? I do not have any smell in the Bathroom.

    can you post some photos
how soon does the water appear once cleaned up?
When does the water appear , when flushed ?
Can you colour the water in toilet and see if leaking from the waste pipe ?

Get some drain dye from toolstation or screwfix and put into the toilet (not cistern) and leave over night. If the coloured water is on the floor in the morning then you have a faulty toilet. The next day put some in the cistern and flush. This will tell you where your leak is coming from.

Thank you. I have dried a section and am waiting to see if it comes back before I try flushing the loo. I will come back later and let you know and with pics.

Thanks Andy I will bear that suggestion in mind as I have to get it delivered. The water is definitely pooling under the floor (not on top) and my waste pipe is visible going into an access panel. All visible pipes and connections above ground are dry.

Check the water connection to the cistern.

Good news is that it looks like the problem has been found, the end of the waste pipe from the Sink, going into the access panel was not attached/secure. Now done I'm hoping the floor will dry out.

Hello Andy, You were spot on!!!! Trouble now is I do not know if it's the Flexi hose itself or the seal. Getting someone in to change the seal only then to find out it's the flexi pipe is going to end up costing me more than the Toilet! So p****d off, after the Bathroom was done I called them back twice and each time they said it was sorted. Now I am concerned as to what it could be that they were not able to put right. I am so angry after a 5k spend

Post a picture looking at the toilet standing back so that we can see the whole toilet.
