Hi there,
My parents just got a quote for a complete replacement floor for their victorian terraced house. They have a bad damp problem, which after much work never seems to go away. Now this has been diagnosed as 'condensation' which I don't agree with and assume there is a leak somewhere which is the source of the damp.
What the builders are recommending is some ventilation system running under the new flooring to extract out the moisture. To me I would have thought it was better to pull up the floor, fix whatever is wrong, then a new concrete/screed floor?
What would you guys suggest?
Cheers,
Mark
