Has anyone used a carpet underlay that has a high tog rating? We would like to use an underlay with thermal values to help insulate our 1960’s house. The floors are T&G. Can anyone recommend a product to help retain the heat upstairs and downstairs?

Hi

cloud 9 have some very good products, as do duraly. type in underlay into google and it will give you shops that sell online, a lot less then you will pay in the sheds.

Thanks Crazyk69 - I've had a look Cloud 9 Cumulus 11mm - seems favourite for best heat insulation; it comes at a price, but long term it's probably worth it. Quite a saving online compared to the sheds, quite a few second's out there though.

Hi, I am looking to do something similar. Has your Cloud 9 Cumulus 11mm been a success and importantly, does the floor feel warmer than it did? Regards Shane

Hi, we are pleased with the feel of the underlay, very hard to measure how effective it's been, but the floor does feel warmer. Would use again.

Purchased online - good service and cheaper than local suppliers.
