Hi guys

I'm in the planning process of cutting a hole in my worktop for my hob. Before I do any cutting, I would like to verify if I have understood the guided measurements correctly. The instructions manual looks something similar to the diagram below.

So I have understood that the width in the diagram is 270mm with plus or minus 2mm for any error. However, I don't really understand the 490÷500 plus minus 2. Does this mean that I can cut either 490mm or 500mm ?

Many thanks

If you have the hob, then just measure the base of the unit, don't forget to include any screws that may be on the underside.
