I,am putting under tile heating in my kitchen, this requires an rcd fused isolator switch? so the installation manual tells me. Could i use an unused plug/socket for this ?????
NO . an R.C.D is not the same as a socket, it could save your life, it also depends on how much current your heating draws as to what you can / can not do, i would need to know this before making any further suggestions.

my intension was to replace the socket with an rcd switch? or am i on the wrong track the system is a warmup undertile heater model no uts300. rather than giving you all the info have a look on ther website www.warmup.co.uk. thanks for the reply breezer
the only information i could find regarding the uts300 ( this ) implies it comes in "sets" of 21.5 metres assuming you have 1 set (or 2) you can just wire it from a fused spur, how ever your consumers unit MUST have an RCD.
although having said that if you have no rcd in your consumers unit you could always put
one of these into the main ring and pug your heating into that
