I had to remove a section of drywall in my bathroom as i'm fitting new shower cubicle. The problem I have is that the existing wall sticks out about 3mm at the joint with the new drywall. Can I tape this or do I need to use some sort of spacer to bring it flush before taping?

How are you finishing the wall?
If tiles
*tape joint and skim out to level
But remember the weight restrictions of tiles for plastered boards, are less than unplastered boards.
