Hi All

I’m replacing my radiator, I had thrown the old one out but left the valve on the pipes.

Now I went and bought these flomasta union valve tails from b and q. Screwed the half inch side to the radiator and the 3/4 inch side to the valve.

The problem I have is the valve to tail is very loose despite tightening.

Have I just bought the wrong fitting or need to add more muscle to the job?

Seems pretty tightly screwed on the ends to me but I can still slide the valve up and down on the tail.

Typically I know you would have an olive that would compress but I don’t understand this fitting.

Thanks All

I'm not a plumber but have you bought a different width radiator to the old one and had to buy adjustabel tails because of that. If that is the case in my experience they are not successful and you should get the pipework altered to suit standard tails.
