I noticed when cleaning up some of the cylinder has melted. Due to a slight leak. It might have been a one off leak? As it’s not wet now. It’s a uni store vaillant. Could I claim under vaillant 25 year waranty? Is it a simple case of tightening bolt? But I feel the leak is coming from a bit lower.

I can’t see where it has melted, and it could be on the pipework, which Vaillant won’t be liable for under the warranty. Might just need something tightening yes, so engage in a plumber, possibly G3 registered for that?
