A couple of problems here:

First, the Clarion radio in my Peugeot 205 XE (1990) is locked, and I am looking for ways of unlocking it. I have heard that by removing it and obtaining the serial number, you can send off for its code. Are there any alternative ways I can unlock my radio?

Second, in my attempts to remove the radio, I have been unsuccessful. All I see are 2 plastic clip connections below it that appear to clip the radio to the plastic dash, but it won't come out. There doesn't appear to be anywhere to insert one of those extracting tools people go on about either...

PLEASE HELP! :)

Many thanks
Ky

a peugeot dealer may have the code,i dont know how far back they keep them on record but they are worth a call. They will charge you for it though.
if i were you id just pop into halfords and buy a cheapy and get it fitted maybe for free

If you're lucky enough to have the original car manual/service book it'll probably be in there, though it's not unusual to find the radio code on a sticker on the unit itself.

There are mobile radio recoders (ask a secondhand car dealer) or there may be a place nearby that does it.

To remove the radio you usually need a couple of U shaped keys that slot in the front at the side of the fascia. Check with your local branch of Halfords or an independent car audio specialist.
