Unvented flat roof insulation

HI, I have a unvented felt flat roof kitchen and bathroom extension built around 1970 which i would like to insulate.
I was planning on taking the ceiling down placing celotex or similer between the joists (joists about 100mm) then reboard using vapourboard.
Is this the best way to do this or am i asking for trouble.
