unvented red ring MS6 water heater

Hi all..
just wondering if I can use the above water heater with a 1 hole sink and tap arrangement ??
plumber mentioned something about not using a mixer tap with this set up but I can't contact him to verify.

Shows a picture with a mixer tap in the installation and user guide.

It does say in the instructions
'The unit must not be fitted to any type of thermostatic mixer valve or tap..
I presume this is different to a standardmixer tap?
