Upvc Door auto locks on outside when closed

More advice please.
I have door that when closed is locked from the outside.
It’s dangerous and you can easily lock yourself out.
Is this an issue with the barrel and a replacement barrel would solve or is it a multipoint lock issue?

Its designed to be like that so someone can't follow you in if you don't lift the handle up to lock, if you have a funny shaped handle on the outside and an ordinary one inside then its a lever/pad set up, check if the outside pad handle lever is at the same level as the inner, if it is then all you need is to remove the handle and fit a one piece spindle which will then connect the inner and outer and they'll work as one, same pretty much goes if the outer pad lever is lower, this means the spindle is in two pieces and staggered and the outer handle is using a different drive gear below the one the inner handle uses, again a full one piece spindle in the top hole will fix it but you'll need to change the outer handle to match the inner, you'll probably need to buy a pair
