Hi,

I took out our front door Upvc panel today to measure for a replacement.

My tape measure said it was 27mm thick which I presumed was wrong as I thought they come in 24mm or 28mm. So I use my partners measuring cailpers (she uses for jewelry making) which gave the thickness as 27.1mm.

So my question is do I have to find a 27mm panel or will a 28mm one do?

thank you

And if you measured another 28mm panel it could read 29mm, a 24mm might read 23 or 25, at the end of the day there's enough give in the gaskets to make up for slight differences but not if you chose 24mm, that would flap about likewise a 28 wouldn't fit in a 24 frame, you just would not get the beads in
