Hi,

Just planning the wiring of the new alarm system on the windows; contact and vibration sensors, and wondered about these points ?

Most of our upcv widows have fanlight openers, wondered how safe they are from burglars?
I know a lot of folk leave them open, assuming the gap is too small ..

The opening is 520mm x 290mm but thats reduced to 520mm x 200mm when fully open.

Can someone bodily get though that gap ?
Appreciate they could get an arm though to damage other openers locks.

Also wonder how safe the fan light night vent position is, does it make entry easier ?

thanks

You would be surprised how many small kids get helped to get through that gap, seen the small footprints inside many times.

We really need to leave the 3ft wide top opener of a wooden widow in the porch ajar an inch or so during the summer otherwise it gets way too hot.

Have seen these two types of restrictors, wondered how good either were ? would fit one at each end of the opener.
