URGENT HELP PLEASE - Window leak

Builder thinks it is coming through the brickwork, bricks are saturated.

Makes sense a normal days rain has not come in but over the last week or so we have not really had normal rain, its been horizontal torrents.

So hope that over Christmas we only have showers then it looks like silicon brick seal, any recommendations?

While is could be, remember that on light rain days the bricks soak up water before it runs down the face, then dry out. If the face of the brick is saturated water will run down the outer face.

If you put on something like Thomson water seal and it is not water in the cavity you will actually make it worse! So water will tend to run down the brick face even on light rain days.

As mentioned before, a bead of mastic or similar to the flat underside of the bricks will form a "drip" to stop water from the brick face running back. If that does not work you can be fairly sure it is in the cavity.
