urine stain prevention

I am dealing with a fresh urine accident on my mattress from a 2 yo child. How do I prevent this from becoming a stain?

The problem is that the accidents have taken place in MY bed. The child is in the beginning stages of potty-training and often goes around without "protection" to encourage the process. She watches her videos on my bedroom TV. I don't want a cover on this bed as I don't like sleeping on a protective cover.

you have 2 choices, dont let the child sit on your bed, or stay with the child when watching T.V, i am sure you too will soon learn to love "barney"
