Hi, I have just boarded up an old built in wardrobe to give us more space in the bathroom when I knock through into it.
I taped the board edges using joint filler and pva'd about 12 inches down each side where the original board was painted and also the new board I put in.
The problem I am getting is when I use easi-fill over the top I am getting air bubbles coming through, I thought it might be a reaction with the old paint but there is also some bubbles on the new board.
Rubbed back and tried another coat of plaster and it still did the same.
Any views or help on this will be greatly appreciated.

"joint filler, easifill, PVA, tape (and skim?)". Plus paint applied we dont know how soon.

Without going into a song and dance about what, and how, you have approached the job, maybe its best to cut your losses and replace all the p/b in question and start afresh?
