Using Indian Sandstone Paving as a Outdoor Kitchen Counter Top

Hi all
I am currently in the process of finishing an outdoor kitchen and using the leftover Indian Sandstone paving slabs as a counter top.

I want to seal this paving and as it is going to be used as a counter top and I didn't want to use anything solvent based etc and wondered if anyone knew of a safe sealant?
