Vailant boiler banging

I am getting a banging noise coming from the boiler (which sounds like an air block). This only happens when the hot tap is turned on and the heating is on. The wife has just phoned me to say the engineer called and told her that the diverter valve, which was replaced a few months ago is a different model than the one before it and that now the motherboard needs replacing.
I know this all sounds a bit confusing but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes! sorry about that. Its a Vaillant TurboMax Plus 824E

This is interesting......
Did Vaillant fit the part?
I had one of their engineers out the other day to fit a new timer for my eco tec pro 28.
Idiot brought the wrong one then told me I could use their wireless model.
I checked the dat sheet for it and guess what.....
It isn't designed for my boiler.
My point being that Vaillant engineers aint that good
