vaillant boiler

hi i am having problems with the central heating, i think it may be the thermostat, the hot water runs fine, but the central heating just wont work everything is turned on concerning the boiler, but the pump to supply the radiators doesnt turn on at all but, could this be the thermostat ?, any suggestions would be very much apprieciated

More details please,boiler model and type,how old,etc?

similar prob, turned out that the c/h control on a turbo max had broken so no control it is only plastic vaillant said it is acommon prob.
