vaillant ecomax fault code

Hi

Tonight my heating wouldnt come on and the boiler had a fault code of f20

The boiler is a vaillant ecomax 635e

Tried googling it but to no avail, different sites saying different things.


I have reset the boiler and all was ok

F20 is saying it has cut out due to overheating.

Check pump, check auto bypass (generally flow rate through boiler) check no air in boiler/system.

Co2 % could be checked, output to ch could be checked, set boiler pump over run to 10 mins instead of factory set 5 mins.

If it never does it again then don't worry about it.
