hi guys can you help? Our boiler doesn't fire up' and when you switch heating on by the programmer it cuts out completely showing f5 on the display any ideas please?

Boiler has overheated.
The reset button in the top left of the combustion chamber needs to be reset.
As this involve removing the combustion chamber door an RGI is supposed to do this.
You will have to find the cause of the overheat problem though.
Check your pump is working first off

At the top of the boiler left hand side (inside the case)you will see a clip holding the overtemp trip out switch to the output pipe leading off the boiler. If you pull this up the clip will come off the pipe and you will see a little red button to reset the sencer, press the red button and refit the sencer. This is usually the fault which cause the fault shown on the display you mention.
