called to this boiler today, no hot water, Fault code F5.
Am I correct in believing it,s a overheat problem,if so where is the overheat stat on this boiler?
I have no MI for this boiler,so no fault codes

If it is an ecomax pro 28 then F5 is overheat (klixon thermister with red reset switch on flow pipe inside cc)

Not sure if it is the pro, the front panel holding the PCB is black, the Diverter Valve has the gray actuator, there are what looks like thermistors top left of main HE, unable to get a good sighting boiler placed to high.
Can you confirm that it is the pro from my discription

No it's not. Is it the early downfiring condenser? 236 and 286?

Ok, there is an NTC on the DHW HX, I think thats my first port of call
