Each time for me its been a Valiant guy thats turned up.
Heat exchanger replaced today.
In total I've had..
Heat exchanger
Circuit board/control panel
G10 seal
Wiring loom
Flu adjustment
I'd say I've had good value and good service from them for my £300, with 6 months cover remaining.
I now only need a new pump, diverter valve and expansion tank and I'll have had a complete new boiler.

All’s well that ends well
apart from the boiler failing again a couple of months ago, something to do with the pressure sensor. It had become very noisy and not heating water. I decided not to throw anymore money at it and instead had a new Vaillant boiler fitted.
In hindsight the £300 repair back in 2019 could have gone towards a new boiler instead. But who’s to know?
