Hi,
Had a brand new shiny Vaillant Ecotec Plus 624 installed a couple of months ago after the last one packed in.

All working fine for Hot Water & Heating since then, however a couple of days ago the HW wasn't working in the morning.

Heating still works fine, but no HW. Have reset, turned off and on again and run the chimney sweep mode.

There's no error messages appearing anywhere, it's just like the boiler doesn't realise it has the ability to make hot water and doesn't acknowledge it all.

Assuming it's something v straightforward to switch given how new the boiler is...any tips!?

Thanks in advance.

If you've got heating then it's unlikely to be a boiler fault, more likely a faulty programmer or zone valve somewhere on the system

Any tips on how to fix it? It's a Drayton programmer, is there a way to reset it or something like that?

It won't be a boiler fault leave that alone sounds more like stuck or faulty zone valve as previously said, usually near your cylinder, the boiler doesn't tell the valve to open,,, the valve opens and tells the boiler to fire

So a small update on this...we turned the heating off in the house last week which coincided with the HW stopping. Have now turned Heating back on but for 30 mins in morning and 30 mins in evening rather than 3hrs each and HW is fine again. If heating totally off, HW doesn't work again...

You can take an animal to water but if it does not want to drink then it will not drink!
