Vaillant ecoTec plus 837 chimney sweep mode question

System: Vaillant ecoTec plus 837 combi boiler with Honeywell CM900 Programmable Room Thermostat

I'm trying to test how much gas my Vaillant boiler is using via the chimney sweep mode (theory vs actual). My aim is to put the boiler into chimney sweep mode for 5 mins and then check the meter readings before and after. I can then work out the Kwh used.

Does anyone what the power input/output (kwh) should be when using this mode on this model?

Chimney sweep mode is for servicing and pretty useless at that too.



No point continuing with this thread as your other one is more relevant.


Assuming that you are measuring gas consumption in relation to poor heating.

Which will be a combination of crap installation and stupidly oversized boiler.
