We recently had the water pressure sensor replaced on our Vaillant ecoTEC Pro 28 boiler by an engineer, as it was triggering a fault code, the boiler was not working in water or heating mode.

The boiler is now working as expected; however, when topping up the system pressure, the digital pressure gauge still does not reflect the change in pressure.

Could this be due to debris or sludge around the area where the sensor fits into the boiler, potentially preventing it from detecting the pressure correctly?

Is it possible that this area was not cleaned when the sensor was replaced?

It could be a few things. Was the sensor actually replaced or just cleaned? Could be debris as you say.

The engineer should (and maybe did) have flushed out the connecting pipe to the sensor and should have compared both gauges before signing off the job, its surprising that the fault is gone but the digital gauge is not responding.
