vaillant gb 242 eh - what should water level be? please help?

Hi
The Ch and HW keeps cutting out as pilot wont ignite.looked at the water guage - red and white hands - white is on 2 and red is on 1.5 bar.what should they be? manual missing as boiler is ancient.

thx

Pressure isn't your problem the fault is elsewhere. I suggest you call an engineer. But generally 1-1.5bar cold

had this prob for ages and the BG engineers keep coming out and it works and they always go on about the bar?!!

I think i've added too much cold water now as the white hand (just under 2)is above the red (1.5) and it wont come on at all now.no hw or ch : (

thx anyhow

As Kev said, it's got s o d all to do with the pressure. Keep getting them back, you have paid for it, and someone will find the fault at some point.
