News to me. On my water treatment course the water brought in from London was very hard, even harder than mine. The only place that had harder water was from around the Dover area.

News to me. On my water treatment course the water brought in from London was very hard, even harder than mine. The only place that had harder water was from around the Dover area.

The water in London may be harder than some other areas, but its not hard enough to give any problems with lime scale in modern boilers with proper temperature control.
The really hard water areas that I know of are around Reading and Bracknell and perhaps in parts of Wiltshire. Also in Buxton and many other parts of Derbyshire.
