Can anyone please help? I have a Vaillant Turbomax combi boiler in the house. It was already in when I moved in 2 years ago. Please excuse my ignorance, I know very little about plumbing and boilers.
The main problem is that it when the boiler fires up for the central heating, it switches itself off after about 30 seconds. Looking at the small digital temperature reading on the boiler, it rapidly increases as the boiler is fired up. It looks to me like it is registering that it has reached the desired temparature and then switches off (after barely even getting going). I've now had three different plumbers look at this and, so far, none have resolved the problem.
There have been other problems with it too - water shooting from an air release valve, but this seems to have been fixed. I've now been asked by the plumber to buy a diverter valve so he can replace it. Does this seem to make sense? They look quite expensive and I don't want to keep throwing money down the drain, if it is cheaper to replace the boiler.
Any advice welcome.
Thanks
